Gary Ray Lacy, 60, of Centralia died at 1:39 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.

He was born Oct 26, 1950, in Canton, the son of Orvie and Pauline (Mahr) Lacy. He married Lynn (Scott) Lacy in December of 1979 in England and they later divorced; he then married Rhonda Renspurger on Oct. 16, 2000, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 22, 2010.

Mr. Lacy is survived by two sons, Nick Baker and Luke Baker, both of Beckemeyer; three daughters, Corrina Dunn and Natasha Flanagan, both of Centralia and Raechal Schneider of Beckemeyer; three brothers, Jerry Lacy of Indiana, David Lacy and wife Susan of Florida, and Michael Lacy and wife Carla of Kentucky; nice grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife Rhonda, he was also preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Lacy was owner/operator of Lacy Contracting for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of Free Methodist Church and a lifetime member of VFW Post 2055. Gary was a life-long Centralia resident.

Mr. Lacy served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant during the Vietnam Conflict. He served from May 1970 to November 1979.

Following cremation, a graveside memorial service was held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Beckemeyer with Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Friends were asked to meet at the cemetery.
